After we returned from our little trip home, we took a taxi from the airport to Nancy’s house and had a restful night back in Atlanta. That night our dreams were happy, considering that the thoughts that filled them were all of returning to Rosie the next day.
We got up the next morning, realizing just how tiring it really was to travel all day and at 10:00, packed up the van, and went off to the Flying Biscuit Cafe for some breakfast. (More like lunch, considering the time).
We set off around noon and after we got out of the city, we happy to be on our way again.
We reached Savanna after 4 long and tedious hours of driving and settled ourselves into a wonderfully green state park, and fell asleep to the sound of rain pounding on the roof of Rosie.

The next morning the rain was still pounding on the roof, and so we slept in. By the time we were ready for the day, (about 10:00), we unplugged Rosie and hit the road. We drove about 20 minutes and reached downtown Savanna. We decided to take the
hop-on-hop-off tour of Savanna like we did in San Francisco. We bought tickets and hopped on the bus. The driver took us through all of Historical Savanna and a few of the characters from the stories of Savanna even came and talked to us. It rained on-and-off all day, and so we didn’t end up going into many of the museums. We had some good home cooking for lunch and just had a good time overall.
We drove into South Carolina and found a really nice state park to camp in. I was thrilled that we had found the ocean again. We even got to enjoy a walk on the beach at sunset.
